Family life in Britain

I have just read an article in my English book. I thought you might be interested becaue it talks about Family life in Britain.

Basically what it says is that in Britain the family life is changing. Formerly a typical family in Britain headed by two parents. Now there are many single-parents households.

Nowadays  people's view on marriage are changing. Many couples live together without beeing married and about 40% of children in Britain are born to unmarried parents. Many woman don't want to have children immediately.

Some woman are choosing to have children as lone parents without beeing married and many marrieges are ending in divorce. That's why the number of single-parent families is increasing.

I think that in Austria it's similar to Britain because I know many single-parent families in Austria too.
